একটি টিআরএনএস পর্যবেক্ষণ

যৌবনে আপেক্ষিক গণিত,  ইংরাজিতে relative mathematics, নিয়ে একটি তত্ত্ব ফেঁদেছিলাম।তাতে তথ্যের থেকেও তীক্ষ্ণ ছিল তির্যক শ্লেষ ও কৌতুক। সি ভি রমনের সাক্ষাৎ ছাত্র এক পদার্থবিদ্যার অধ্যাপক আমার নিবন্ধটির নাম পালটে রেখেছিলেন থিওরি অব রিলেটিভ নাম্বার সিস্টেম, সংক্ষেপে টিআরএনএস। নইলে থিসিস থিসিস গন্ধ আসছে না।তাতে সংখ্যাতত্ত্বের হিসেবনিকেশ নিয়ে কিছু অনধিকারী মন্তব্য ছিল।অফনিউজ চাইলে আবার লেখা যায়।তবে আজ লিখছি যে বিভ্রান্তির উৎস statistical lie, (আমার কথা নয়) তাই নিয়ে। বাংলাদেশে হিন্দুর সংখ্যা শতকরা হিসাবে তিলি তিলে কমছে।বিষয়টি নিয়ে মিডিয়া, সোস্যাল মিডিয়া তোলপাড়।খতিয়ে দেখা যাক।বাঙালি বিপন্ন? বিশেষ করে সংখ্যালঘু হিন্দু বাঙালিরা? লেখচিত্রে হিন্দু তথা সনাতন ধর্মীদের সংখ্যার এই নিন্মগামী প্রবণতার তাৎপর্য কি? হিন্দুরা বাংলাদেশে নির্যাতিত? উপেক্ষিত? নিপীড়িত? তাদের মানবাধিকার রক্ষা পাচ্ছে না?

ধুয়োটি তুলেছেন ‘মাতৃভূমি বাংলাদেশ, পিতৃভূমি ভারত’ এই সাভারকার গোত্রের মোংগালি( মোদী+বাংগালি)রা -- বাংলাদেশের প্রিয়া সাহা,গোবিন্দ প্রামানিক, সীতাংশু গুহরা। --এরা স্বদেশদ্রোহী। এরা বাঙালির কলঙ্ক।

এরা অবশ্য নিজেদের বাঙালি নয়,  মনুবাদী আর হনুবাদী হিন্দু ভাবতেই বেশী ভালোবাসেন। অলীক হিন্দু জাতীয়তাবাদের চামচা। ধর্মের নিরিখে দ্বিজাতি তত্ত্বের উস্কানি প্রথম দিয়েছিল বৃটিশের অনুগত সাভারকার।

এই অলীক হিন্দু জাতীয়তাবাদ বনাম মুসলিম জাতীয়তাবাদে ভাগ হয়েছিল ভারত। হিন্দুস্তানের গায়ে আঁচ পড়ে নি। আমি হিন্দিস্তান বলতে ভারতের হিন্দিভাষী এলাকা ও হিন্দির দখলকৃত বিহার রাজস্থান ও হরিয়ানাকে বুঝি।সংবিধানে রাষ্ট্রের নাম ভারত বা ইণ্ডিয়া। হিন্দিস্তান কেবল ইকবালের গানে।

ফলত দু বাংলায় যে হিন্দুঘেঁয়েমি এবং মুসলমান ঘেঁয়েমিও তাতে বাঙালি জাতিসত্তা বিপন্ন।

এপারে আপামর বাঙালি যখন হনুমান আক্রান্ত, ওপারে সেই হনুমানবন্দনায় মেতেছেন প্রিয়াগোবিন্দসীতাংশুরা!

এতে করে এই বিদ্বেষের উস্কানিতে ফ্যাসীবাদ দখল নিচ্ছে পশ্চিমবাংলার।ওপারে তৎপর হচ্ছে জামাতীরা।

মৌলবাদীরা দুপারেই শক্তি বাড়াচ্ছে।

বন্ধু  রাজু আহমেদ মামুন একটি ব্যক্তিগত বার্তায় পরিস্থিতির যে  ব্যাখ্যা ও বিশ্লেষণ করেছেন পাঠকের দরবারে তুলে ধরছি।

প্রসঙ্গত এটাও বলি আমি ও আমরা অনেকেই  যেখানে বৃহত্তর বাংলাদেশের আশু কল্পনায় নেই।ভারত রাষ্ট্র(দেশ নয়)র মধ্যেই একটি ফেডারাল কাঠামোয় বাঙালির ভাষাগত, বৃত্তিগত, পেশাগত ও সংস্কৃতিগত অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠায় সেখানে ওপারেই একটি গোষ্ঠী   বাংলাদেশের রক্তের মূল্যে অর্জিত স্বাধীনতার বিনিময়ে হিন্দুস্তানের গোলামী চায়। ভারত সাম্রাজ্য ভূক্তি চায়।

বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন থাকুক যতদিন সূর্য আছে।যতদিন চন্দ্র আছে।পশ্চিমবঙ্গ হিন্দির দখলদারী মুক্ত হোক।দুই বাংলার মৈত্রী প্রতিষ্ঠা আমাদের ব্রত।

রাজুর বয়ান---

" বাংলাদেশের সেক্যুলারেরা ট্রাম্পের কাছে করা প্রিয়া সাহার নালিশ প্রসঙ্গে বলছেন যে, “প্রিয়া সাহা দুর্বল ইংরেজীতে তার কথাটা ঠিকমতো বলতে পারেনি। কিন্তু তার অভিযোগ তো ঠিক আছে, বাংলাদেশে হিন্দু নির্যাতন তো হয়ই। এটা তো আর মিথ্যা নয়”। 

এই বক্তব্যের সত্য মিথ্যা নির্ণয়ের আগে আসুন আমরা এই “হিন্দু নির্যাতন” শব্দবন্ধ নিয়ে আলাপ করি। আপনি যখন কোন রাষ্ট্রের নাগরিকদের (এখানে ধরা যাক হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়) একাংশকে আলাদা করে তার উপরে হওয়া নির্যাতন নিয়ে কথা বলেন তখন এটা অনিবার্যভাবে ধরে নিতে হবে এই সম্প্রদায়ের বাইরে আর কেউ নির্যাতিত হয়না বা হলেও সেটা উল্লেখ করার মতো নয়। 

"হিন্দু নির্যাতন” শব্দগুচ্ছ দিয়ে যা যা বুঝানোর চেস্টা করা হয় সেগুলো আলাদাভাবে একটু আলাপ করা যেতে পারে। 

বাংলাদেশে আওয়ামী শাসনে সবচেয়ে বড় হিউম্যান রাইটস ভায়োলেশনের ঘটনা হচ্ছে ক্রস ফায়ারে বিচার বহির্ভূত মৃত্যু। ২০১০-২০১৮ সালে ক্রসফায়ারে দেশে মোট মৃত ১৭৬৬ জনের মধ্যে মাত্র একজন হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের। অর্থাৎ, ক্রসফায়ারের ভিকটিমদের মধ্যে হিন্দুদের সংখ্যা ০.০৫%-এর কাছাকাছি বাংলাদেশে, যেখানে জনসংখ্যার অন্ততঃ ১০% হিন্দু। 

হিন্দু বৌদ্ধ খ্রিস্টান ঐক্য পরিষদ দাবী করেছে ২০১৯ সালের প্রথম চার মাসে ধর্ষণ এবং যৌন হয়রানির শিকার হয়ে আত্মহত্যা করেছেন ৩ জন এবং সংঘবদ্ধ ধর্ষণের শিকার হয়েছেন ৫ জন হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের নারী।  ওই একই সময়ে বাংলাদেশে মোট ধর্ষণের সংখ্যা ৩৯৬ নারী ও শিশু। তার অর্থ, ধর্ষণের শিকার যারা তাদের মধ্যে আন্দাজ ২% হলো হিন্দু। 

উপরের দুইটা পরিসংখ্যানে কি মনে  হয় যে বাংলাদেশের হিন্দুরা স্বাভাবিক মাত্রার  চাইতে বেশী নিগ্রহের শিকার হচ্ছে? মোটেই না। বরং সংখ্যাগুরু মুসলমানেরা বেশী সংখ্যায় নির্যাতনের শিকার হচ্ছে বাংলাদেশে। 

বলা হয় হিন্দুদের জমি দখল হয়। বাংলাদেশে কার জমি দখল হয়না? বাংলাদেশে তো খোদ সরকার নিজেই তার জমি পুলিস মিলিটারি দিয়েও রক্ষা করতে পারেনা। সে কার জমির সুরক্ষা দেবে? 

দেশে কিছুটা আইনের শাসন না থাকলে কী সংখ্যালঘু কী সংখ্যাগুরু- কেউই তার সহায় সম্পত্তি রক্ষা করতে পারে না। আর দুর্বল হইলেতো কথাই নাই!  আর আইনের শাসন না থাকলে জঙ্গলের শাসন জারি থাকে, এইটার পোশাকি নাম "ক্ষমতা"। ক্ষমতার "..দনে" জমি থেকে উচ্ছেদ হইয়া সংখ্যাগুরু মুসলমান ঢাকায় আইসা রিকসা চালায় আর সংখ্যালঘু হিন্দু বারাসাতে গিয়া মাছ বিক্রি করে খায়! তফাত শুধু এটুকু!

বলা হয় হিন্দুদের প্রতিমা ভাঙ্গা হয়। এই প্রতিমা ভাঙা সংস্কৃতির উদ্ভবই তো আওয়ামী লীগের হাতে। আপনারা শুনলে অবাক হবেন পাকিস্তান আমলে এই ভুখণ্ডে কখনো হিন্দুদের প্রতিমা ভাঙ্গা হয়নি। প্রথম প্রতিমা ভাঙ্গার ঘটনা ঘটে ১৯৭২ সালের দুর্গাপপূজার দ্বিতীয় দিনে খোদ ঢাকায়। যারা প্রতিমা ভেঙ্গেছিলো তারা  চিহ্নিত হবার পরেও কারো শাস্তি হয়নি কারণ তারা সবাই রাজনৈতিকভাবে শক্তিশালী ছিলো।  

বাংলাদেশে জনসংখ্যার প্রায় ১২% সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ভুক্ত। আর, ২৫% সরকারী চাকরী রয়েছে সংখ্যালঘুদের দখলে, উচ্চপদস্থ এক মন্ত্রীই জানিয়েছেন দু-দিন আগে।  এই পরিসংখ্যান বলে দেয় যে হিন্দুরা বাংলাদেশে চাকরীর বৈষম্যের শিকার নয়। 

বলা হয় হিন্দুরা দেশত্যাগ করে। কিন্তু কেন করে? এর কারণ তো নির্যাতন নয়। এর কারণ “হিন্দু জাতি”  ধারণা। উনবিংশ শতাব্দীর শেষভাগেই এই “হিন্দু জাতি”র ধারণার উদ্ভব হয়। হিন্দু শব্দটা জাতি শব্দের সমার্থক হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হতে থাকে। এই হিন্দুত্বের ধারণাকে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক রূপ দেন হিন্দুত্ববাদী আরএসএস সাভারকার। তিনি “হিন্দু” শব্দকে ডিফাইন করেন “ভারতকে পবিত্রভুমি এবং পিতৃভূমি হিসেবে যারা বিবেচনা করে তারাই হিন্দু জাতি”। 

এই হিন্দুত্বের জাতিকল্পনাই এক মারাত্মক দীর্ঘমেয়াদী সমস্যার জন্ম দিয়েছে। কারণ বাংলাদেশের হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে তাঁদের পিতৃভুমি এবং হোলি ল্যাণ্ড বিধায় পলিটিক্যাল এজেন্ট হিসেবে ভারত রাষ্ট্র একটা সম্ভাবনা হয়ে বিরাজ করতে থাকে। সেই ভারত রাষ্ট্রকেই তার ধর্মীয় ও জাতিগত পরিপূর্ণতার চুড়ান্ত ডেস্টিনেশন হিসেবে বিবেচনা করতে থাকে।   

কিন্তু এইসব কিছুই যা দিয়ে “হিন্দু নির্যাতন” ডিফাইন এবং ব্যাখ্যা করা হয় সেটা কি রাষ্ট্র গঠনের সমস্যা নয়? সেই রাষ্ট্র গঠনের সমস্যাকে হিন্দু নির্যাতনের সমাধান হিসেবে স্যেকুলারেরা কিন্তু এড্রেস করেনা। এইজন্য রাষ্ট্রের মেরামতের জরুরী কর্তব্যকে সামনে নিয়ে আসেনা। এই হিন্দু নির্যাতনের মিথ ব্যবহার করা হয় সংখ্যাগুরু মুসলমানদের লজ্জা দেয়ার উপলক্ষ হিসেবে। প্রিয়া সাহার জমি নিয়ে শরিকদের সাথে গণ্ডগোলকেও তাই ইসলামী মৌলাবাদী হামলা বলে প্রিয়া সাহা পরিচয় করিয়ে দেয়। 

একটা ঠিকঠাক রাষ্ট্র গড়া না গেলে আর হিন্দুরা হিন্দু পরিচয়ে বিশেষ সুরক্ষার দাবী না তুলে বাংলাদেশ রাষ্ট্রের নাগরিক পরিচয়ে “হিন্দু অধিকারের” বদলে নাগরিক অধিকারের জন্য যতক্ষণ লড়াই না করতে পারবে ততদিন এই সমস্যার কোন সমাধান নেই। 

On the issue of Priya Saha, members of the secular group in Bangladesh are saying: “Priya Saha could not explain her points before Donald Trump in English, being poor knowledge of the language. There is nothing wrong with her allegation that Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh. This is indeed not untrue.”  

Before we evaluate what Saha said to Trump for its veracity, we should discuss what exactly “Hindu persecution” stands for. When you say that Hindus are being persecuted in a country, it means, people following other religions are facing no or negligible level of persecution.   

During the Awami League rule extrajudicial killings or deaths in so-called crossfire are viewed as the worst form of human rights violation in Bangladesh. In 2010 – 2018 among 1,766 people, who were killed in crossfire in the country, only one was Hindu.

Minority body Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad reported that in the first four months of this year, from the Hindu community, three women committed suicide after being raped and sexually harassed and five others were raped in Bangladesh. During the same period, 396 children and women were raped in the country. Hindus form 9% of the country’s population. Around 2% of the rape victims were Hindu.  

The statistics clearly show that Hindus in Bangladesh do not face rape and sexual harassment as much as Muslims do. 

While the minority communities form 12% of the country’s population, 25% of the government jobs are held by them, a minister noted two days ago. This figure points to a fact that the religious minorities do not face discrimination in the sector of jobs in Bangladesh.   

It is often charged that lands owned by Hindus are often taken away by force in Bangladesh. The fact is, compared to Hindus, Muslims have lost ten times larger areas of lands to land robbers in Bangladesh. There are many gangs of land shirks in big cities and towns. They rob lands which are mostly owned by poor Muslims. They even tactfully take away government lands. Despite using police and other state forces the government cannot protect its lands from being taken away by the land shirks. It cannot protect anyone’s land.      

With the rule of the law becoming dysfunctional in the country no member from either the majority or the minority community is able to protect his land. Those who are weak are more prone to lose their lands. In the absence of the rule of law, a class of people are using their power and indulging in all sorts of nefarious activities, including robbing of others’ lands. After being dislodged from their lands by these powerful people, Muslims are being forced to migrate to Dhaka where they are turning rickshaw-pullers and Hindus are crossing over to India to become fish-sellers in Barasat.        

It is charged that Hindu idols of gods and goddesses are often vandalised in Bangladesh. We all know that the culture of desecrating Hindu idols took its root in the country when Awami League was in power. I am sure you all will be surprised that no Hindu idol or temple was ever vandalised in East Pakistan. The first vandalisation of Hindu idols took place in Bangladesh in 1972, on the second day of Durga Puja in Dhaka. Those who vandalised the idols were politically well-connected. They were identified. But, they did not face any punishment.  

It is often reported that Hindus fled or are fleeing Bangladesh. Yes, it’s true that they are fleeing Bangladesh. But, certainly they are not fleeing Bangladesh because of persecution. They are leaving Bangladesh and crossing over to India because of their notion of the “Hindu Nation”. This concept of Hindu nation was born towards the end of the nineteenth century. They also started using the word “Hindu” as a synonym of “nation”. The concept of “Hindutwa” was given shape institutionally by RSS icon V D Savarkar. He defined: “Those who identify India as holy land and their fatherland are Hindus.”    

 This idea of Hindutwa has given birth to a serious long-term problem because the Hindus in Bangladesh identify India as the holy land and their fatherland. As a political agent the Indian state also appears as a good option before them. And, they begin viewing India as their final destination to fulfill their dreams in terms of religion and nation.   

Whatever they use to define “Hindu persecution” can also be identified as problems on way to build the state. However, the secular groups of people never happen to address these problems in aim to solve the issue off Hindu persecution. The myth of the Hindu persecution is used as a tool to corner or embarrass the majority Muslim community in Bangladesh. Priya Saha had had a dispute over the issue of land with its co-owners. But, she introduced the attack from those co-owners as violence unleashed by Muslim fundamentalists.      

Unless we succeed to build a proper state, Hindus begin seeking safety with their identity as the citizens of Bangladesh- not using their religious identity- the issue of Hindu persecution will keep on nagging us time and again."

বিতর্ক হোক। সুস্থ বিতর্ক। সব শেষে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হোক সার্বিক অধিকারের স্বভিমান। সার্থক হোক এক সুস্থ মানব সমাজ।
